UNC football finished up its home slate undefeated by knocking off Miami over the weekend.
The victory moved the Tar Heels up to number 12 in the Associated Press Poll.
Carolina was ranked 17 by the AP heading into the game.
The new College Football Playoff Rankings will come out Tuesday night. The Tar Heels were ranked 23 in last week’s edition of the rankings that determine who competes in the four-team college football playoff.
