The UNC basketball dropped one spot to No. 8 in the AP Poll.
The new poll released on Monday afternoon.
Kansas is on top of the poll, followed by Michigan State, Villanova, Virginia, and Xavier.
The Virginia Cavaliers defeated the Tar Heels on Saturday, 79-74. But, the Cavaliers also dropped one spot in the poll. Virginia lost to Miami on Monday night, 61-64.
The Hurricanes are one spot ahead of the Tar Heels at No. 7. The UNC basketball team defeated Miami 96-71 on February 20.
Louisville is just outside of the top 10 at No. 11. Duke rounds out the ranked ACC teams. The Blue Devils slid to No. 17.
The UNC basketball team returned to action Monday night with a home game against Syracuse. Tipoff is at 7 PM. Carolina closes out the regular season on Saturday. The Tar Heels will ride up to Durham to take on the Blue Devils at 6:30.
