The sixth-ranked UNC women’s tennis team knocked off a pesky Florida State team on Sunday for a 5-2 victory.

The Tar Heels moved to 12-2 on the season and 2-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play with the win of the No. 43 Florida State.

Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay, the top ranked doubles team in the country, continued their stellar play posting a 6-4 come-from-behind victory.

North Carolina will travel to Charlottesville to take on the University of Virginia at three o’clock Friday afternoon.
