The ACC revealed the men’s basketball league schedule for the 2026-27 season Wednesday afternoon. UNC’s league games begin Dec. 30 and end March 6.

The Tar Heels will begin conference play by hosting Cal at the Smith Center Wednesday, Dec. 30. Carolina is looking to avenge a loss to the Bears in Berkeley last season. After the new year, UNC will make visits to Boston College (Jan. 2) and Louisville (Jan. 5), where former Tar Heel Seth Trimble will be suiting up for the Cardinals.

Among UNC’s notable home fixtures are contests against NC State (Jan. 9, less than a month after the two teams play in Greensboro), Virginia (Jan. 19), Louisville again (Feb. 8) and Miami (Feb. 22). Notable road games include visits to Florida State (Jan. 13), Notre Dame (Feb. 2) and Wake Forest (Feb. 20). Per the ACC’s scheduling model, the conference foe UNC won’t play this year is Clemson, marking the first time since 1950-51 that the Tar Heels and Tigers won’t play during the regular season.

UNC will visit Duke Feb. 13 in the first of the two annual games between the rivals. The Blue Devils will make the return trip to Chapel Hill in the regular season finale March 6. No tip-off times for any league games have yet been finalized.
