The Town of Carrboro has partnered with UNC’s Southern Oral History Project to create its own oral history that will be posted on the town website.

The town hopes to conduct four to eight interviews per year and is seeking 4-5 volunteers to train in interviewing techniques.

Ideally the volunteers would conduct one to two interviews within a the next year.

There will be no cost to the volunteer because the town will pay for training and equipment costs.

Questions regarding the project can be directed to assistant to the town manager Julie Eckenrode or town clerk Cathy Dorando.

Applications for the position are due March 15, 2016.
