Carroboro’s Chief Race and Equity Officer Anita Jones-McNair spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Monday, April 21. She discussed some of the work her office has been doing over the last several months, including hosting a town hall conversation for community members to share their concerns about recent changes to policy at the federal and state level. She also talked about an internal program that allows town staff to learn more about non-profit organizations in the community. She discussed the town being named a finalist for the All-America City award, and the presentation the town will give in Denver as a finalist, and more.
