Orange County’s Chief Civil Right’s Officer Paul Slack spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Monday, May 5. He discussed the importance of citizens engaging in their local government, including the opportunity to serve on county boards and commissions. He stressed the importance of having a variety of voices and backgrounds represented on those boards, and the important role they serve in the county. He also talked about some upcoming events in the county, including the Pauli Murray Awards happening later his month, which recognizes a youth, adult, and organization in the county who has served the community in the pursuit of justice and human rights for all residents.
