Welcome to Woman Crush Wednesday!
This week, Ali was joined by a very special guest – WCHL’s own Nicki Morse!
You probably know Nicki as the host of “Music and Morse,” the midday show on 97.9 The Hill, or as Ron Stutts’ right-hand woman on his morning show for 6 years.
Despite her long career in broadcasting, radio wasn’t always Nicki’s plan. “When I left high school, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do,” Morse shared. After picking up a part-time job as a traffic reporter, Nicki continued to build her resume working on “morning radio shows, and mid day shows, and weekend shows. You name it.”
Before their conversation wrapped, Ali asked Nicki to provide advice for someone who is beginning a new career. Her response? Never stop learning. “The more things you know, the better your career is going to go.”
Listen below for the full conversation between Ali and Nicki, including how much longer the phrase “male dominated industry” could be around, and tune in next Wednesday for the next WCW introduction to another amazing woman in our community!
Join 97.9 The Hill’s Ali Evans every Wednesday for another edition of “Woman Crush Wednesday,” a three-minute weekly recurring segment made possible by Mosaic Comprehensive Care that highlights motivated women and their impact both in our community and beyond.
