Welcome to Woman Crush Wednesday!
This week, join 97.9 The Hill’s Ali Evans for a conversation with Lizzie Chadbourne, owner of Lo & Behold Naturals.
Lizzie was determined to treat her own body better and combined years of experimentation, research, herbalism studies and a lifelong interest in crafting, to start Lo & Behold. Lizzie is inspired by her love of being outdoors and enjoying nature to create safe skin care, explaining “it wasn’t until I was in college that I started learning that a lot of the skincare I was using was actually really bad for me.”
When creating her product line, Lizzie wanted to show appreciation for her beautiful home state of North Carolina. “I do partner with several different small farmers and we source as many local ingredients as possible, and we base our products around those ingredients.”
Lo & Behold works with Partners for Youth Opportunity, a Durham-based organization that is committed to offering opportunities to local youth who might not otherwise have access. Lizzie has always worked with PYO to find part time staff Lo & Behold, and recently hired her very first full time employee. Lizzie explains, “PYO really has become the center of what we do.”
