Welcome to Woman Crush Wednesday!

This week, join 97.9 The Hill’s Ali Evans for a conversation with Aubrey Williams, General Manager of 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com, as they discuss the role of women leaders during the complicated and confusing time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When asked how things have changed in her roles as a General Manager, Wife and Mom, Aubrey explained that, for her personally, “nothing much has changed – although the circumstances have changed.” Essentially, while the world around us has shifted dramatically, our roles as caretakers and leaders have not.

One thing that could help women accomplish our very long to-do lists? Multi-tasking. “As women, we tend to multi-task, and we live our lives in that way.” That overwhelmed, overworked, ‘million-things-going-on’ feeling is familiar to most women, but it could also be the key to our success. “Part of what makes us effective, both as leaders in our workplace and at home, is our ability to move between things very easily.”

Aubrey’s unintentional advice to those in leadership positions, at home & at work? Don’t get wrapped up in getting the credit. “There’s not a whole lot of pride involved in terms of who needs to be right.” We think that’s pretty solid advice, no matter what is going on in the world.
