Today is Monday, April 18, 2016.  College applicants get the wrong email, there’s a Pastafarian wedding, and the Titanic gets animated.

College Applicants Get the Wrong Email

The University of Buffalo accidentally sent the wrong email to 5,000 people.  The email notified prospective students that they had been accepted.  But, that wasn’t true.  Hours later, the university sent an email notifying the students of the mistake.

The good news is that the students who received that email are still being considered for acceptance.

Pastafarian Wedding

The rings were made of pasta.  The ceremony was on a pirate boat.  The bride and groom slurped the end of a noodle until their lips met.  The reception was an all-pasta affair.  The wedding cake was topped with an image of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The world’s first Pastafarian wedding, conducted by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, took place on Saturday in New Zealand.

The church began as a protest to the teaching of creationism in public schools.

Animated Titanic

Do you want to watch the Titanic sink in real time?

In a video that lasts 2 hours and 41 minutes on YouTube, we can watch it happen.  The actual collision comes at just after the one minute mark.  Captions of information share specific highlights of the tragedy.
