Playmakers’ new season has started! Come out this weekend to check out Clyde’s, following the story of a tough sandwich owner who offers formerly incarcerated people a second chance as they find passion in a shared journey to make the perfect sandwich. Come out Saturday for another library sale. The May Memorial Library in Alamance County are holding their friends of the library book sale with thousands of books, CDs, DVDs to shop through. The sale is open to members only, but you can join at the door. For more information, click here.

The 4th annual Chatham County Recovery Celebration is this Saturday. The event celebrates individuals who have recovered from substance abuse and increases awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders. Come out and meet your new best friend this weekend! Paws4Ever is holding an open house this weekend, including tours of the facility, kids activities, meet and greets with kittens and puppies, and more! Carolina football takes the field this weekend against App State, in search of their second win of the season! Tune in to our broadcast on 97.9 The Hill for all the Tar Heel coverage you could want. Chelsea Classics continues this weekend with more works from Douglas Sirk. This Saturday, Chelsea is showing There’s Always Tomorrow, the story of a man living in his unhappy marriage before an old-flame turns back up.
