If you’re ready for Halloween, you can start the festivities as early as this weekend! Come out to Spring Haven Farm and carve a pumpkin with goats! The farm has been transformed into a true Halloween fantasyland to get you in the spirit. As well as carving pumpkins, you can take a tractor ride, roast s’mores, and attempt to find gems in the mining sluice. Spring Haven Farm will be offering the pumpkin carving from now until October 31st so you’ll have plenty of time. For more information on the pumpkin carving, click here.

The Triangle Parade of Homes continues this weekend. The homes will be open starting at noon for self-guided tours of all the new homes. It’s also an excellent opportunity to view the latest trends in home building. For more information about the Parade of Homes, click here

There’s another chance to enjoy some live music this Friday with the School of Rock House Band. They will be playing at the Eno Arts Mill for the First Fridays. For more information on the show, click here.

The Tar Heels are back in action this weekend looking for their 5th win of the season against Syracuse. Our coverage starts with Inside Carolina Live at 12:30 and continues with Tar Heel Sports Network Pregame Show starting at 2:30. Kickoff is at 3:30 and we’ll have all the action for you on 97.9 The Hill. Coverage will end with the Tar Heel Sports Network Post-Game show after the game ends. Please note that due to NCAA restrictions, the 75 mile rule applies for the Tar Heel Sports Network Shows and the game. Flyleaf Books’ Second Sunday series continues this weekend with two poets reading passages from their new books. Lightsey Darst and Alana Dagenhart will be on-hand to share poems from their books.
