If you’re a photographer, the Department of Environment, Agriculture, and Parks are holding a photography contest. Explore Orange County and take pictures of the beautiful nature we have around us. The theme for this year is “Flora and Pollinators.” They will be accepting submissions through May 31st. For more information about the contest, click here.

This Saturday, come out to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox for the Durham Greek Festival. Enjoy delicious Greek food, wine, desserts, and Greek music in a fantastic outdoor festival. There will also be a marketplace on hand where you can buy arts and crafts, Greek grocery items, and more. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to Ukraine relief efforts. Drop Paws4Ever this weekend for their annual Kitten Shower. Bring a supplies to help Paws4Ever care for kittens and cat mamas in need. If you can’t make it in person, you can also send them supplies from their Amazon wishlist. For $5 donation, you can even suggest a name for a kitten. Meet up at Rougarou for a tour around Chapel Hill of all the beautiful churches around our town. Voices Chapel Hill are having their spring concert this Saturday at Cedar Ridge High School. The concert, entitled “Music and Paradise” will feature performances of songs that explore heavenly themes. Click here for more information.

Also at Spring Haven Farm, this Saturday starts their Movies with Goats series. Bring your own chair or blanket, buy some refreshments, and settle in to watch a movie while some cute little goats roam around and say hi to you. For more information, click here.

This Sunday at New Jerusalem Community Church, The Greater Durham Moose Lodge is holding their EZ Child ID event. This makes it easy for you to have all your child’s information on a thumb drive ready to give to law enforcement should ever the need arise. For more information, click here.

Join El Futuro to celebrate mom and community with their Mother’s Day carnival. There will be workout opportunities like yoga and zumba, raffles, arts and crafts and more!
