The Eno Arts Mill is holding the Pastel Society of NC 2024 Statewide exhibition. Artists from the three pastel societies will show their work in a juried exhibition entitled On Common Ground: From The Mountain to the Sea. The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is holding their June in Bloom market this weekend. This Saturday at the Kenan Conference Center, Carolina Public Humanities is holding a lecture entitled D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy: 80 Years Later. The seminar will discuss the US joining the war and various Allied conflicts influenced planning for a cross-channel military operation and other strategies to destroy Nazi power. Come out to the Passmore Center this Sunday for a screening of The Road to Brown. The film tells the story of ruling of Brown vs Board of Education and highlights the work of Charles Hamilton Houston, “the man who killed Jim Crow.” The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and presentations.
