Come out to Spring Haven Farm this weekend and enjoy some s’mores with goats. You’ll be able to feed the animals like Lola the Pig, goats of course, and cozy up by the fire while toasting some marshmallows and enjoying some s’mores. Click here to secure your time!

Botanist and Barrel are holding an orchard blessing and bonfire to start the new year! Gather around the fire, sing some songs, toast to the trees, and of course, enjoy some cider. For more information, click here.

Start the new year with a hike in nature at Mason Farm. The Piedmont Wildlife Center is hosting an Owl Prowl starting at 7:00. During the 1 mile hike, you’ll learn about owls and potentially spot some! Click here for more information.

Saturday, January 6 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Pick out some fresh produce at the Chapel Hill Farmers Market. You can find flowers, vegetables, fruit, and more. For more information, click here.

Saturday, January 6 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Come out to the Planetarium this weekend to hear the tale of ‘The Longest Night.’ It’s a fulldome experience that explores the idea that winter is Earth’s time to reset ahead of new growth in the spring. Click here for more information. 

Sunday, January 7 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

If your kids are looking to start a new sport or activity, the Highlanders Rugby Club of North Carolina are holding a free rugby clinic for kids between 6-18 years of age. For more information about the club, click here.

Botanist and Barrel are holding another event this weekend. Join them for a wine and cider tour and tasting. You’ll take a tour of the winery and learn more about Botanist and Barrel then you’ll partake in a guided tasting of the cider and wine and some food.
