Okay, So What’s Open? Restaurants Serving Takeout and Delivery
Many restaurants in Orange County remain open for takeout, delivery, and curbside pickup. In Chapel Hill, the town has relaxed its parking enforcement to allow people to use curbside pickup options at restaurants downtown.
How You Can Help Our Community

Anna Griffin – Creative Account Coordinator
Album/EP: “Remember You” by The Jacks
Movie: “The Shawshank Redemption”
Craft: Vinyl Album painting!
Album/EP: “Remember You” is a brand-new EP that dropped this month from up-and-coming Los Angeles-based rock band The Jacks. A little Black Keys, a little Cage the Elephant, these guys are contributing to the so-called rock revival that’s taken shape in the past couple of years. It’s a great EP and I’m excited to see what the future will bring for this cool group.
Movie: I only very recently saw “The Shawshank Redemption” for the first time. I know, I’m very late to the best-movie-of-all-time party. This film truly deserves every accolade it’s ever received and definitely helped to kill a solid two hours of quarantine time! It did give me the desire to go outside though… I just want to be free! By the way, this one is NOT for the kiddos, but I hear “Frozen 2” is streaming on Disney+!
Craft: Album painting! Have any warped or scratched up LPs from back in the day? It’s very difficult to revive a damaged vinyl, but that doesn’t mean it has served its last purpose. Vinyls make great canvases for acrylic work and offer any music lover decoration to match their indie aesthetic. Seal it up with some Mod Podge and you have a beautiful, unique painting

Victor Lewis – Digital Content Editor & Weekend Host
Movie: “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” and a whole lot more because he doesn’t stop talking about certain movies.
Music: Snarky Puppy’s “Culcha Vulcha” & Flamingosis’ “Bright Moments”
Movie: I think this is a good time for something adventurous, and I’m a sucker for a diamond in the rough, a good ol’ box office bomb that deserved better. Something like “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” or “Treasure Planet” — both all-time Disney classics, if you ask me. Plus “John Carter”? Now you’re speaking my language, Disney. Maybe a little bit of “Alita: Battle Angel” — because I can promise you right now that it’s 102 percent better than you think it’s going to be.
Music: Michael League and Snarky Puppy are top of the pops when it comes to jazz these days — they’ve gone from playing small-time bars to winning multiple Grammy awards, and it shows. “Culcha Vulcha” might be my favorite album of theirs, and as a day-one Snarky fan that really means something. If modern jazz fusion isn’t your bag, though… give anything by my boy Flamingosis a spin. He’s not my all-time most-listened artist on Spotify for nothing.
