This past week, 97.9 The Hill has been receiving and airing love song dedications from listeners and readers with a lot of people getting in on the party! Here’s a sample from the many dedications we have received and aired. We hope you’ve enjoyed listening to the love shared throughout our community. Love wins here at 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com! Presented with love from Best Tile, Rings True, NC Farm Bureau Master Agent Robbie Norris, Wentworth and Sloan Jewelers, Durham Distillery’s Corpse Reviver Bar and Lounge, Carrboro Coffee Roasters, and The Carolina Inn!

This first featured dedication goes out to Louie at Orange County Animal Services from his Animal Services friends. Louie is their main man with a great personality who is looking for his forever home, until then, his friends are showing him the love with a “Rick Roll.”

This one goes out to Jeff from Stephanie, reminiscing the time their wedding parties burst into singing this song during their wedding.

What’s sweeter than one love dedication? A couple dedicated the same song to each other without knowing! Listen below to Alicia Stemper and Lydia Lavelle showing their love and appreciation for each other.

This dedication went out to Chuck from Lisa, who is highlighting their spontaneous dances in the living room while Chuck sings this to Lisa.

This dedication went out to our very own Brighton McConnell from Elle Kehres. Elle is sure Brighton has missed her ceaseless humming of this song so she made sure he could hear it this way!

We love someone for who they are and Claire loves Nick even when he prefers scotch to bourbon.

Jacob sent a shoutout to Lori for putting up with all his dad jokes even before they had kids.

Lynn is glad she said yes all those years ago to her husband and she dedicated a very aptly titled song to him.

Cathy dedicated this classic to Ed. They’ve been together for 50 years she said there’s no more fitting song than this one, his ringtone for her.

This dedication went out to Charlotte from Eric. He says life is better having dance parties with her alone in their house (with the bonus that no one else sees how bad of a dancer he says he is).

This one went out to our very own Jada from Kenny. They’ve accumulated many songs he considers theirs over the years and this is one of them. It was also their first dance at their wedding.

This next one goes out to our very own Kenny from Jada. Her sweet dedication to him highlights just how happy with their life she is. They’ve stood by each other through thick and thin.

💌 Special Thanks to ❣️
