It’s time for another round of Studio Sessions with the School of Rock Chapel Hill, featuring three classic hits performed by the House Band!

This month, we say goodbye to our University Place studio, as 97.9 The Hill prepares to move into its new location at 1525 E. Franklin Street. But we’re not done with the old studio yet – and in between music, the House Band members (Gianna Whitley, Conlan Sharp, Bella Jackson-Ruybal, Joshua Bosworth, and Brooke Briner) share their favorite memories of Studio Sessions past, some of which go back years. School of Rock owner/GM David Joseph and music director Justin Ellis are also on hand to share their own memories and discuss upcoming shows – including the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when the House Band will open for Crazy Chester’s annual “Last Waltz” tribute (featuring Ellis and several other School of Rock instructors) at Cat’s Cradle.

Listen to their conversation, plus the band’s performances of Cream’s “I Feel Free,” The Beatles’ “And Your Bird Can Sing,” and Supertramp’s “The Logical Song.”
