It’s time for another round of Studio Sessions with the School of Rock Chapel Hill, featuring three classic songs performed by the House Band!

It’s a new school year, so the House Band has new members! This month, Kate Stokes, Grant Watson, and Jack Wilson make their debuts on Live & Local, along with veterans Cole Ivester, Finn Jackson, and Conlan Sharp. Kate, Grant and Jack introduce themselves and talk about their musical journeys so far, while Cole, Finn and Conlan offer advice.

School of Rock owner/GM David Joseph and music director Justin Ellis are also on hand, to discuss the fall season and look ahead to a pair of upcoming shows – including one on September 29 at the Carrboro Music Festival, which Ellis is helping to organize.

Listen to their conversation, plus a trio of performances: Joe Jackson’s “One More Time,” Styx’s “Come Sail Away,” and Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love.”
