It’s time for another round of Studio Sessions with the School of Rock Chapel Hill, featuring three classic songs performed by the House Band!
House Band members Brooke Briner, Ripley Florek, Cole Ivester, Conlan Sharp, and Asher Simon join Aaron to play a trio of rock songs – including one by a band Aaron wasn’t familiar with (this is what happens when you only listen to local music!), sparking a conversation about everyone’s favorite lesser-known musicians. (Some a little more “lesser-known” than others.) School of Rock music director Justin Ellis is also on hand, discussing upcoming shows (like the annual Cupid’s Jam benefitting TABLE on February 18 at Cat’s Cradle) and exciting new offerings for 2024 – like longer hours and an expanded roster of instruments.
Listen to their conversation, plus the band’s performances of Wolf Alice’s “Smile,” Weezer’s “Hash Pipe,” and Pink Floyd’s “Have A Cigar.”
