Libby Rodenbough and Joseph Terrell of Mipso stopped by 97.9 The Hill studios to chat with Aaron about a new album and a new tour!
Last year, Mipso (with Jacob Sharp and Wood Robinson along with Rodenbough and Terrell) released their fifth album, a self-titled LP with twelve songs – but they left a few on the cutting-room floor, and this year they decided to bring those tracks back in. Earlier this fall, the band released a “deluxe version” of the album with two new songs (“Name Is How You Call Me” and “Every Drop”) and a demo version of the song “Big Star.”
They’re not resting on their laurels: Mipso has already gone on a west-coast tour this fall, and on Wednesday they’re heading back on the road, with a new tour that begins in Asheville before heading northeast.
Rodenbough and Terrell say the band is getting ready to release new music too. A new full-length album is in the works, and they’ve also recorded a series of cover songs that will begin coming out in January.
