Local music fans, get excited: later this month, the band Bat Fangs will drop its second album, “Queen Of My World.”
Hearkening back to the sound of 80s-era metal – “acid-soaked 80s hard rock for the living and the dead” – Bat Fangs is a collaboration of guitarist Betsy Wright (of Ex Hex fame) and drummer Laura King, a local legend whose career includes work with The Moaners, Flesh Wounds, and most recently Speed Stick.
Bat Fangs released their self-titled debut album in 2018 – and now they’re back, picking up right where they left off with “Queen Of My World.”
97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck spoke with Laura King during “Live and Local” this week, and debuted two songs off the new album: the title track, “Queen Of My World,” and “Psychic Eye.” Listen to their conversation below.
