Hip-hop artist Austin Royale joined Aaron on Live & Local this week, ahead of Saturday’s Tracks Local Music Fest in downtown Chapel Hill.

The Tracks Music Fest is a product of Carolina Performing Arts and the Town of Chapel Hill Community Arts & Culture Department, in conjunction with Chapel Hill’s Tracks Music Library. It’ll be Saturday, May 21, from 3-7 p.m. outside Carolina Performing Arts’ CURRENT ArtSpace on Franklin Street, with performances from Austin Royale along with Anne-Claire, Dissimilar South, Treee City and BANGZZ. (Ice cream and beer will be available for sale; bring a chair or blanket to sit on.)

Austin Royale joined Aaron on 97.9 The Hill to chat about the upcoming show, his work with the Tracks Music Library, his forthcoming mixtape “Plan A,” and more. He also debuted two tracks, “Problems” and “Miss Fortune,” and performed “Wish You Well” live in studio. Listen below:
