This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Jeffrey Olander and Aurorah Arndt!

Together, Olander and Arndt run “Accessibility in Making,” an organization that uses UNC’s maker spaces to create better equipment for people with disabilities. Focused squarely on human-centered design and practical needs for equipment expected to perform all day, every day, AiM has already helped out quite a few people with custom solutions to unique problems.

Those with disabilities who need assistance are welcome to reach out directly via email, as AiM continues to widen in reach and scope.
