This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Dr. Amy Blank Wilson.

Wilson works at the UNC School of Social Work who, in collaboration with other UNC schools, started the tiny home village in Chatham County with her co-director, fellow Hometown Hero nominee, Thava Mahadevan. Wilson, Mahadevan, and their team built the 15 home village from the ground up and it had its grand opening earlier this year. The tiny home village is for veterans and other residents with physical and mental health needs.
