Some downtown parking in Hillsborough will be unavailable while markings are being repainted over the coming weeks.

Per a release by the town, a contractor will close the affected areas with traffic cones early in the morning, and the spaces will be reopened as soon as the paint is dry.

On Monday, June 25, the town-maintained West King Street Parking Lot, along with adjoining lots beside the Mercantile Center and behind the Police Station, will close while new parking space lines, three-hour parking labels and directional arrows are painted.

On Monday, July 2, parking space markings along West King Street between Churton and Wake streets will be repainted.

The Town of Hillsborough has additional information on parking options during this time on their official website.
