Jason Barker, General Manager for The Lumina Theater in Southern Village, joined Aaron Johnson, Victor Lewis, and Dakota Moyer from WCHL to discuss upcoming events at the Lumina Theater as well as the recently-released “Avengers: Endgame.”
“Endgame,” which brings together heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor for one last battle against arch-villain Thanos, had the biggest opening night in history with $60 million at the domestic box office.
Barker, who said he saw “Endgame” twice before it was officially released, said The Lumina Theater sold out for Thursday’s opening night showing. The film currently holds a 96 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and could make more than $800 million globally by the end of the weekend.
Along with showing “Endgame,” the outdoor movie series returns to The Lumina Theater this summer.
On May 18, the Lumina Theater will show “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” followed by “Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” on May 25.
