On April 5, 2018, Ron Stutts interviewed Deryl McGuire, the founder of Orange Community Players (OCP), a community run theatrical group based out of Hillsborough, North Carolina. They have produced over 30 shows since 2005 and entertain patrons from across the country and from the local region. Ron could not help but sing aloud when he learned about the next OCP production for the summer, Oklahoma. During their conversation, Deryl describes her favorite show.

“One of my most favorite productions of course was The Music Man and the reason for that  was that I directed that show in high school and the young man who played the lead then came back, and played the lead at Orange Community Players. and he now is the president of the board and that’s Bob Sharpe. So it has been a wonderful full circle. He’s directed numerous shows, and it’s a coming home.”
