It’s Valentine’s Day week, and Mebane is marking the occasion with a “Cupid Shuffle” downtown on Friday evening. Not the only big event that’s coming to town: this month, Kelly also promotes the upcoming Train Show, Saturday, March 14 at the Mebane Train Display. There’s also been some recent activity in local government as well: the Mebane City Council approved the purchase of a house next door to City Hall for future expansion and extra parking, and city leaders are working with Orange County officials to launch a one-year pilot of a fare-free circulator route in Mebane later this spring.
