The American Dance Festival is inviting you to a world premiere: a piece called “Battleground,” performed in a specially-designed pit of dirt. Inspired by America’s relationship with the military-industrial complex, Minnesota-based choreographer Carl Flink created the piece with his dance company Black Label Movement – which specializes in a highly intense form of movement called “bodystorming.”
The piece will be performed October 11-13 at the Bahama Bluebs farm in northern Durham County, with performances at 5:00 Friday, 1:00 Saturday, 5:00 Saturday, and 3:00 Sunday.
Conversation presented by the American Dance Festival. Click here to read more about “Battleground” and buy tickets.
