Harrison Ingram is taking his talents to the pros.

The multi-talented wing who helped Carolina win the ACC regular-season title and earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament declared for the NBA Draft on Saturday.

“To Coach Davis and the rest of the coaching staff, I want to thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play and represent the University of North Carolina,” Ingram said in his announcement. “You instilled a lot of confidence in me and allowed me to be great.”

Ingram, who transferred to UNC from Stanford prior to the 2023-24 season, started 36 of UNC’s 37 games (the only missed start being on Senior Night). His 12.2 points per game ranked third on the team and his 8.8 rebounds per game ranked second. Ingram also led the Tar Heels with 51 steals, and his 38.5 percent mark on three-pointers represented a jump of nearly seven percentage points from the season prior. He was named third team All-ACC.

Ingram played his best against Carolina’s rivals. He made five threes, scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in UNC’s home win against Duke in February, then contributed another double-double in Carolina’s win at Cameron Indoor Stadium a month later. In a road matchup at NC State in January, Ingram grabbed 19 rebounds, an all-time high for any Tar Heel against the Wolfpack. He then scored 22 points in Carolina’s home win against NC State.

Ingram is the first Tar Heel to declare for the NBA Draft this offseason.
