Alyssa Ustby scored 15 points and the Tar Heels shot 50 percent on three-pointers as Carolina beat UNC-Greensboro 80-56 for its seventh straight win on Wednesday night at Carmichael Arena.

Indya Nivar added 11 points as UNC put together another balanced scoring effort. Of the 13 Tar Heels to check in against the Spartans, 12 scored. Nivar was one of seven players to make at least one three-pointer, with UNC finishing 8-16 from long distance. In Carolina’s last five games, the team is shooting 43.3 percent on threes.

On the other end, the UNC defense limited the Spartans to just 5-18 (27.8 percent) shooting on threes and forced 17 turnovers, which turned into 17 Tar Heel points. Carolina committed just eight turnovers, one off tying a season low.

The win improves UNC to 10-1 overall. The Tar Heels have won seven straight games since suffering their only loss of the season to UConn on November 15. Carolina is also 6-0 inside Carmichael Arena.

Up next for UNC is the ACC opener, as the Tar Heels will host No. 25 Georgia Tech at Carmichael on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will bring a 10-0 record into the matchup, which will be broadcast on ACC Network.
