The UNC women’s basketball program unveiled its complete 2023-24 non-conference schedule on Monday. The schedule features marquee showdowns with South Carolina and Connecticut, as well as a potential meeting with Iowa.

Carolina’s regular season will get underway on November 8, when the Tar Heels host Gardner-Webb in Carmichael Arena. Home games against Davidson, Hampton and Elon will follow before UNC heads down to Florida for the Gulf Coast Showcase. The opener of that event sees Carolina face Vermont on November 24 at 1:30 p.m. The winner of that game will face either Kansas State or Western Kentucky the following day, and the tournament championship will be played on November 26. Iowa, the 2023 national runners-up, are on the other side of the bracket and could face Carolina in the championship.

The Tar Heels will then return home to face two-time national champions South Carolina in Chapel Hill as part of the ACC-SEC Challenge on November 30. UNC last faced the Gamecocks in the 2022 Sweet 16, when South Carolina won on its way to the title. The Tar Heels will then face UNC-Greensboro in Chapel Hill on December 6 before taking a trip up to Uncasville, CT to face UConn in the Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on December 10. It will be the first time UNC has faced the Huskies since Courtney Banghart took over as head coach in 2019.

The final two non-conference games see Carolina host Western Carolina on December 15 and then face Oklahoma in Charlotte on December 19 as part of the second annual Jumpman Invitational.

Aside from the Vermont game, tip-off times have yet to be announced. For a full look at the non-conference schedule, click here.
