UNC outfielder Tyler Ramirez has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Co-Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Ramirez shares the honor with Clemson’s Seth Beer.

Ramirez hit two homers and drove in 12 runs while maintaining a .400 batting average during the Tar Heels’ undefeated run last week, which included wins over East Carolina, Elon and a sweep of the Duke Blue Devils.

The Tar Heels moved up to No. 4 in the latest D1Baseball rankings and are now 17-2 on the season.

UNC will play against Western Carolina on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to begin at six o’clock and will air on WCHL.
