UNC freshman Aranza Vazquez was selected Tuesday as the ACC Diver of the Week after winning a total of five diving events.

The native of La Paz, Mexico won the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at the Virginia Tech Invite and in the dual meet against NC State, while also winning the platform event at Virginia Tech.

Vazquez made her UNC debut in December and is unbeaten in three competitions since.

She joins Emily Grund and men’s diving competitor Anton Down-Jenkins as Tar Heels who have won the ACC’s weekly honor this season.
