UNC announced Wednesday it has agreed to expand its football series with UCF to four games over the next eight seasons.
The teams previously agreed to a home-and-home series in 2016, and are scheduled to have the first meeting this fall on Sept. 15 at Kenan Stadium.
UCF made headlines last season after finishing the year 13-0 and ending the year with a victory over Auburn in the Peach Bowl–declaring themselves the unofficial national champions.
The Tar Heels will make their first visit to Orlando to open the 2020 season, while the new contract adds games in Chapel Hill and Orlando during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, respectively.
