College football season is steadily approaching, as less than four months remain before the beginning of the 2018 campaign.

With that in mind, a noon kickoff time for UNC’s home opener at Kenan Stadium against UCF was announced Friday by the ACC and its television partners.

That game will be played on September 15, following back-to-back road games at California and at East Carolina to open the season.

UCF is coming off a 13-0 season capped with a win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl, which led the school to declare themselves the unofficial national champions. The Golden Knights’ head coach Scott Frost left in the offseason, however, to take the same job at Nebraska–his alma mater.

The Tar Heels, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back strong after an injury-riddled 2017 season saw the team finish 3-9 for the worst record in head coach Larry Fedora’s six-year tenure in Chapel Hill.
