The ACC announced Friday that it will show four conference games at the beginning of next men’s basketball season on the brand new ACC Network, including UNC’s season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 6 against Notre Dame.
That game against the Fighting Irish will be held at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
Rather than starting the season off against a unheralded non-conference opponent, this announcement will have the Tar Heels jumping right into conference play to begin the year.
The ACC has 14 of its 15 teams–all except Duke–competing in games against one another to open next season, three of which will be shown on ESPN2 or ESPNU while the other four are on the ACC Network.
