UNC senior forward Xylina McDaniel will miss the rest of her senior season after tearing her anterior curciate ligament and meniscus in her right knee Thursday night in Atlanta.

McDaniel suffered the ACL tear during the first half of the Tar Heels matchup with Georgia Tech, according to the university.

The Yellow Jackets won the game 80-73.

McDaniel recently reached the 1,000 point benchmark for her career. The senior has averaged 8.7 points and 6.8 rebounds this season.

UNC will be back in action on Sunday when the Tar Heels host No. 21 Miami at 12:30.
