UNC is ranked ninth in the latest men’s college basketball Associated Press poll.
The No. 9 ranking keeps the Tar Heels in line with their position at the start of the season after knocking off Northern Iowa to open the season on Friday night.
Duke retained its position atop the standings. There was very little shuffling of the top 25 with most teams working their way into the season against lesser competition.
Kentucky dropped from fifth to seventh after two unimpressive wins.
There will likely be significant movement next week with four of the top seven teams playing against each other as part of the Champions Classic on Tuesday night. The event will place top-ranked Duke against No. 2 Michigan State and No. 4 Kansas against Kentucky.
UNC will return to action hosting Bucknell on Wednesday night.
