In an effort to raise money for the governor’s North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, UNC announced Monday it will host a four-school men’s basketball exhibition at the Dean E. Smith Center on Sunday, Nov. 5.

East Carolina, UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Wilmington will all make the trip to Chapel Hill for the event, which is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

The teams will each play a total of 40 minutes, with that time being divided into a trio of segments against each of the other schools.

All three of the opposing head coaches also have a personal connection to UNC.

Jeff Lebo–who coaches at East Carolina–was a standout guard for the Tar Heels from 1985-89.

UNC-Greensboro is led by Wes Miller, who played for Roy Williams at UNC from 2004-2007.

Now in his first season as head coach at UNC-Wilmington, C.B. McGrath was an assistant coach at UNC under Williams since 2003.

“We have a unique opportunity to engage with three schools that are part of the UNC system, whose coaches also have close ties to our own program, to partner in this event,” Williams said, in a statement released by the university. “I hope fans of all four teams and people who just want to find a way to make a positive impact will come out and support this relief effort.”

Tickets will be sold for $20, while UNC students will be admitted for free and encouraged to make donations.
