The UNC baseball team continues to vault up the early-season rankings, checking in at No. 6 in the latest D1Baseball rankings.
Carolina is riding high after a weekend that included three, yes three, walk-off wins over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who fell from 12 to 25 in the rankings after getting swept by the Tar Heels.
Carolina is 5-1 on the season after taking two of three from UCLA in the opening week. UCLA started the season in the top 10, fell to No. 14 after losing the series to Carolina and the Bruins are now ranked 21.
The Atlantic Coast Conference is very well represented with four of the top 10 teams in the latest rankings.
Louisville went 2-2 last week and fell from No. 2 to fifth, followed by UNC at six, NC State at eight and Miami at 10.
Florida State, 15, and Virginia, 19, are also in the Top 25.
After starting the season with back-to-back series against top-15 opponents, UNC will be back in action on Wednesday in Chapel Hill against Winthrop and then the Tar Heels host Faifiled this weekend.
