The North Carolina Tar Heel baseball team is ranked sixth in the country for the third week in a row in the latest D1 Baseball rankings.
UNC opened ACC play taking two out of three games from Pittsburgh over the weekend. While Carolina won the series, the loss on Sunday snapped an 11-game winning streak.
Florida remains atop the poll followed by Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Oregon State, and Louisville before UNC.
Beyond Louisville and North Carolina, the Atlantic Coast Conference is well represented with Miami at No. 10, Florida State (11), NC State (13), Virginia (18) and Clemson (19).
Georgia Tech dropped out of the Top 25 after going 1-3 at Florida State over the weekend.
The Tar Heels have a busy week ahead with a trip to Greenville to take on No. 17 East Carolina on Tuesday before hosting another in-state opponent in Elon on Wednesday.
Conference play begins again on Friday at Duke. The three-game series against the Blue Devils will be played at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
WCHL will begin airing UNC baseball games with the six o’clock game Friday evening.
