The UNC baseball team held off a mid-game rally from 12-seed Boston College to come away with a 13-5 victory on Saturday. The win secured Carolina’s spot in the ACC Tournament final.

The Tar Heels jumped out to an early 7-1 lead over Boston College Saturday afternoon at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Boston College advanced to the semis after upset wins in pool play to open the tournament.

The Eagles cut the UNC lead to 7-5 in the sixth inning before Carolina added two more runs in its turn in the sixth.

A late home run by Michael Busch pushed the UNC lead to the final margin.

Carolina advances to take on the winner of Georgia Tech and North Carolina State. The championship game is scheduled for noon Sunday in Durham.
