FloWrestling released its annual preseason dual meet rankings on Wednesday, with UNC checking in at No. 10 to begin the upcoming 2020-21 campaign.
The Tar Heels are led by redshirt junior Austin O’Connor, who has earned All-American honors at 149 pounds in each of his first two years in Chapel Hill–including a First Team selection this past season.
Last season also saw UNC post a 14-3 record in dual meets, which represented the program’s best single-season winning percentage since 1997.
A total of four ACC teams are included in the preseason rankings, led by No. 6 NC State. Behind the Tar Heels in the poll are No. 12 Virginia Tech and No. 18 Pitt.
Big goals for this season in Tar Heel Country…
