Fresh off a run to the Final Four this past season, the UNC men’s soccer team received more good news this week when they had a league-leading five players named to the ACC’s All-Academic Team.

ACC Freshman of the Year Cam Lindley earned his first selection to the roster, while classmate Mauricio Pineda and sophomore Nils Bruening also picked up the honor for the first time.

Junior David October and sophomore Alex Comsia, on the other hand, were chosen to the team for the second time in their careers.

Notre Dame and Syracuse tied the Tar Heels with five selections, but no school had more than that.

A 3.0 grade point average–both for the previous semester and as a cumulative average–is required to make the team.
