The NFL world descended upon UNC’s campus in Chapel Hill on Monday for the football team’s annual pro day.
Mack Brown and his staff hosted 31 of the 32 NFL teams (the Los Angeles Rams are not sending out scouts to pro days), which allowed his players to showcase their talents before the 2021 NFL Draft in April. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual NFL Combine was canceled — meaning that UNC’s pro day was one of the only opportunities for players to measure in and run drills for NFL scouts.
Seven former UNC players worked out on Monday — including running backs Michael Carter and Javonte Williams, wide receivers Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome and linebacker Chazz Surratt. Past Carolina players Jordon Brown and Brandon Fritts also participated in workouts.
