The UNC women’s basketball team shot a season-low 27 percent from the floor on Thursday night on the way to a 71-61 loss at Cameron Indoor Stadium against the rival Duke Blue Devils.

Senior guard Shayla Bennett led the Tar Heels (16-7, 7-5 ACC) with 19 points in the game, while freshman forward Malu Tshitenge was the only other UNC player to reach double figures–ending the night with 12 points of her own.

After leading by just two points at halftime, the Blue Devils (12-10, 6-5 ACC) opened the third quarter on a 12-0 run to take control of the game.

UNC pulled within six points in the fourth quarter, but was unable to get any closer than that thanks to the struggles making shots.

Haley Gorecki ended the night with a game-high 25 points for the Blue Devils.
