The bracket for the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament was released Monday afternoon with the Tar Heels earning the No. 9 overall seed.
As one of 16 schools to be seeded, UNC will receive a first round bye in the 36-team tournament.
So far this season, UNC has compiled an 11-3-3 record while outscoring its opponents by a margin of 33-8.
The Tar Heels–who were the top seed in the ACC Tournament–are coming off a full week of rest after being upset by Boston College in the Quarterfinals of that competition.
They’ll be off until Sunday Nov. 20, returning to face either South Florida (10-6-3) or Florida Gulf Coast (14-3-2) at Fetzer Field.
